Functioning of derived prepositions in modern speech is of special interest for linguists, since the semantic and behavioral features of these words are less studied than their formal characteristics. In addition, prepositions not only in the system of parts of speech, but also in linguistics used to be seen as ‘empty words’ in the sense that no special studies of the functional and semantic features of a preposition were conducted in linguistics: prepositions were studied as a whole, as a class of words. In many respects this is due to the fact that special approaches are required for their study, taking into account the specifics of this syncategorematic word, which includes not only words of different structures, but also transitional forms, different in time of occurrence and degree of receiving a preposition.
