I have been engaged in the magmatism related to active and fossil oceanic subduction zones for a long time, especially the crustal materials recycling related to the formation of andesite. Recently, I mainly focus on the continental arc magmatism and the syn-collisional magmatism in the Himalayan-Gangdese orogenic belt. I mainly use a combined methods of chronology, geochemistry, mineralogy and numerical modelling to explore these problems.
