Suggesting ‘Media’ as the tool for Octagon model of Nation Branding in
Bangladesh
Abstract
‘Medium is the message’ – this concept of Marshall Mcluhan emphasize
the importance of a medium. Without a medium, message is futile. Medium
is determined according to the number of people participating in the
communication process. As nation Branding means creating a positive
image of a country to a vast number of people, Mass Media is a must
need. Every Country should pay special attention to the ‘Media’ for
their branding. So do Bangladesh. This study suggests ‘Media’ as the
tool for branding Bangladesh following the Octagon model to specifies
the importance of this tool.
