I am an early career researcher still enrolled in a PhD programme in Geography. However, my previous research has centred on geographical and environmental education, climate change, climate risk management and resource management in the context of a changing climate, especially within the largely vulnerable African context. I have completed a master's degree in climate and society, where I undertook a drought risk assessment to develop area-yield index insurance in a portion of northern Ethiopia. I completed another master of education research to identify the capacity-building needs of teachers for improved climate change awareness and adaptation in Enugu state, Nigeria. My current research for my doctoral degree is focused on disaster risk assessment and management in Africa.
