Key Message
This article review may provide convincing answers to the questions
raised by many pediatricians and infants’ parents about the consequences
of infection on children and steps to be taken if their child has
symptoms of, or tests positive for, COVID-19. The kid’s immune response
against SARS‑ CoV-2 infection is early initiative with low immunological
tone to prevent overactive immunity and lung damage. More studies are
needed to explain why COVID-19 seems to affect children less than adults
since it is unlikely that there is a single explanation for why COVID-19
seems to affect children less than adults.
