DR XIUBO YU, Chinese Academy of Sciences
He is a Professor at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research (IGSNRR), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He has been the Secretary General of Chinese Ecosystem Research Network (CERN) since 2006 and National Technical Advisor to UNDP-GEF China Wetland Protected Area System Programme since 2015.
His expertise lies in the area of ecosystem service, management and policy. He has successfully implemented Paulson Institute funded project on China’s coastal wetland conservation management strategy, waterbirds and habitat data base, and Alasan SEE Foundation funded project on valuation and health assessment of coastal wetlands in China. He has also actively designed and implemented some UNDP-GEF projects on waterbird flyway in China.
Dr Yu published more than 100 peer reviewed scientific papers and 25 monographs.
