In this manuscript,we present a parametric family of derivative-free 3-steps iterative methods with a weight function for solving nonlinear equations. We study various ways of introducing memory to this parametric family in order to increase the order of convergence without new functional evaluations. We also performed numerical experiments to compare the iterative methods fromdifferent points of view.

The article is dedicated towards the study of fractional-order non-linear differential systems with non-instantaneous impulses involving Riemann-Liouville derivatives with fixed lower limit and appropriate integral type initial conditions in Banach spaces. First, mild solution of the system is constructed and subsequently, its existence is proven using Banach's fixed point theorem. Then, results of approximate controllability are established using the concept of fractional semigroup and an iterative technique. Suitable examples are given in the end supporting the methodology along with pointing out corrections in examples presented in previous articles.

In this paper, a deep dynamical analysis is made using tools from multidimensional real discrete dynamics of some derivative-free iterative methods with memory. They all have good qualitative properties, but one of them (due to Traub) shows the same behavior as Newton’s method on quadratic polynomials. Then, the same techniques are employed to analyze the performance of several multipoint schemes with memory, whose first step is Traub’s method, but their construction was made using different procedures. Therefore, their stability is analyzed, showing which is the best in terms of the wideness of basins of convergence or the existence of free critical points that would yield convergence towards different elements from the desired zeros of the nonlinear function. Therefore, the best stability properties are linked with the best estimations made in the iterative expressions rather than their simplicity. These results have been checked with a numerical and graphical comparison with many other known methods with and without memory, with different orders of convergence, with excellent performance.

A spectral problem is considered in a domain $\Omega_{\varepsilon}$ that is the union of a domain $\Omega_{0}$ and a lot of thin trees situated $\varepsilon$-periodically along some manifold on the boundary of $\Omega_{0}.$ The trees have finite number of branching levels. The perturbed Robin boundary condition $\partial_{\nu}u^{\varepsilon} + \varepsilon^{\alpha_i} k_{i,m}u^{\varepsilon} = 0$ is given on the $i$th branching layer; $\{\alpha_i\}$ are real parameters. The asymptotic analysis of this problem is made as $\varepsilon\to0,$ i.e., when the number of the thin trees infinitely increases and their thickness vanishes. In particular, the Hausdorff convergence of the spectrum to the spectrum of the corresponding nonstandard homogenized spectral problem is proved, the leading terms of asymptotics are constructed, and the corresponding asymptotic estimates are justified for the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions.

The paper is dedicated to the modeling and asymptotic investigation of a linear elasticity problem, in the form of variational inequality, for a textile structure. The textile is made of long and thin fibers crossing each others, forming a periodic squared domain. The domain is clamped only partially and an in plane sliding between the fibers is bounded by a contact function, which is chosen to be loose. We also assume a non-penetration condition for the fibers. Both partial clamp and loose contact arise a domain split, leading to different behaviors in each of the four parts. The homogenization is made via unfolding method, with an additional dimension reduction to further simplify the problem. The four cell problems are inequalities heavily coupled by the outer plane macro-micro constraints, while the macroscopic limit problem results to be an inequality of Leray-Lions type with only macro in plane constraints. On both scales, no uniqueness is expected.

This paper settles event-triggered synchronization and H∞ synchronization matters for two types of coupled delayed reaction-diffusion memristive neural networks (CDRDMNNs). First of all, several synchronization and H∞ synchronization conditions are acquired for CDRDMNNs with state coupling in virtue of exploiting Lyapunov stability theory in combination with proper controllers of the triggering event. Then, for CDRDMNNs with spatial diffusion coupling, event-triggered synchronization and H∞ synchronization are investigated as well. Finally, the correctness of the deduced synchronization and H∞synchronization results is verified by two given numerical examples.

This work proposes a novel nonlinear parabolic equation with p(x)-growth conditions for image restoration and enhancement. Based on the generalized Lebesgue and Sobolev spaces with variable exponent, we demonstrate the well-posedness of the proposed model. As a first result, we prove the existence of a weak solution to our model when the reaction term is bounded by a suitable function. Secondly, we use the approximations method to establish the existence of a nonnegative weak SOLA solution (Solution Obtained as Limit of Approximations) to the proposed model. Finally, numerical experiments illustrate that the proposed model performs better for image enhancement and denoising.

This article aims to investigate the numerical study of electroosmotic flow of the Eyring Powell fluid under the peristaltic mechanism with the influence of the porous medium in the micro-channel. The modified system is applied externally to an electrical field in the horizontal direction and to a magnetic field in the transverse direction. The flow of nanofluids is considered in the computation. The governing equations in the nano-fluid flow are modulated. Influence of lubrication theory approximation longequations are shortened. Reduced coupled nonlinear partial differential equations like velocity and energy equations are numerically solved using the powerful and well-known mathematical software MATHEMATICA by built in NDSolve command. The influence of various important parameters on the velocity and temperature profile is summarised by graphs.

Many challenges are still faced in bridging the gap between Mathematical modeling and biological sciences. Measuring population immunity to assess the epidemiology of health and disease is a challenging task and is currently an active area of research. However, to meet these challenges, mathematical modeling is an effective technique in shaping the population dynamics that can help disease control. In this paper, we introduce a Susceptible-Infected-Recovered (SIR) model and a Susceptible-Infected-Recovered-Exposed-Deceased (SEIRD) model based on conformable space-time PDEs for the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. As efficient analytical tools, we present new modifications based on the fractional exponential rational function method (ERFM) and an analytical technique based on the Adomian decomposition method for obtaining the solutions for the proposed models. These analytical approaches are more efficious for obtaining analytical solutions for nonlinear systems of partial differential equations (PDEs) with conformable derivatives. The interesting result of this paper is that it yields new exact and approximate solutions to the proposed COVID-19 pandemic models with conformable space-time partial derivatives

The purpose of this paper is to construct generating functions in terms of hypergeometric function and logarithm function for finite and infinite sums involving higher powers of inverse binomial coefficients. These generating functions provide a novel way of examining higher powers of inverse binomial coefficients from the perspective of these sums, assessing how several of these sums and these coefficients related to each other. A unique relation between the Euler-Frobenius polynomial and B-spline associated with exponential Euler spline is reported. Moreover, with the aid of derivative operator and functional equations for generating functions, many new computational formulas involving the special finite sums of higher powers of (inverse) binomial coefficients, the Bernoulli polynomials and numbers, Euler polynomials and numbers, the Stirling numbers, the harmonic numbers, and finite sums are derived. Moreover, A few recurrence relations containing these particular finite sums are given. Using these recurence relations, we give a solution of the problem which was given by Charalambides7, Exercise 30, p. 273. We give calculations algorithms for these finite sums. Applying these algorithms and Wolfram Mathematica 12.0, we give some plots and many values of these polynomials and finite sums.

A linear manifold ${\mathcal K}_2$ of evolutionary equations for a pseudovector field on ${\Bbb R}^3$ is described. An infinitisimal shift of each equation is determined by a second-order differential operator of divergent type. All operators are invariant with respect to space translations in ${\Bbb R}^3$, relative to time translations, and they are transformed by covariant way relative to rotations of ${\Bbb R}^3$. It is proved that the linear space ${\mathcal M}_2 \subset {\mathcal K}_2$ of differential operators preserving solenoidal property and unimodularity of the field is one-dimensional and an explicit form of such operators is found.

We consider a linear RLC network, modeled by differential-algebraic equations, containing distributed semiconductor devices, modeled by multi-dimensional parabolic-elliptic equations. With appropriate coupling conditions, we obtain a system of multidimensional partial differential-algebraic equations. For the resulting system, we prove an existence and uniqueness result, and study the asymptotic behavior of the solutions.

The Dirichlet, Neumann and mixed boundary value problems for the linear second-order scalar elliptic differential equation with variable coefficient in a bounded three-dimensional domain are considered. The PDE right-hand side belongs to $H^{-1}(\Omega)$ or $\widetilde{H}^{-1}(\Omega),$ when neither classical nor canonical co-normal derivatives are well defined. Using the two-operator approach and appropriate parametrix (Levi function) each problem is reduced to different systems of boundary domain integral equations (BDIEs). Equivalence of the BDIEs to the original BVP, BDIE solvability, solution uniqueness/non-uniqueness, and as well as invertibility of the BDIE operators are analysed in appropriate Sobolev (Bessel potential) spaces. It is shown that the BDIE operators for the Neumann BVP are not invertible, and appropriate finite-dimensional perturbations are constructed leading to invertibility of the perturbed operators.

In this paper, we deal with the wave equation with acoustic boundary conditions. The exponential stabilization is obtained by Lyapunov approach and Riemannian geometry method. We then apply our main theorem to the wave equations with memory type acoustic boundary conditions, which is not available in the literature and give an example in the end.

In this paper, we focus on designing a well-conditioned Glarkin spectral methods for solving a two-sided fractional diffusion equations with drift, in which the fractional operators are defined neither in Riemann-Liouville nor Caputo sense, and its physical meaning is clear. Based on the image spaces of Riemann-Liouville fractional integral operators on Lp([a, b]) space discussed in our previous work, after a step by step deduction, three kinds of Galerkin spectral formulations are proposed, the final obtained corresponding scheme of which shows to be well-conditioned—the condition number of the stiff matrix can be reduced from O(N2α) to O(Nα), where N is the degree of the polynomials used in the approximation. Another point is that the obtained schemes can also be applied successfully to approximate fractional Laplacian with generalized homogeneous boundary conditions, whose fractional order α ∈ (0, 2), not only having to be limited to α ∈ (1, 2). Several numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the derived schemes. Besides, based on the numerical results, we can observe the behavior of mean first exit time, an interesting quantity that can provide us with a further understanding about the mechanism of abnormal diffusion.

We study properties of a piecewise deterministic Markov process modeling the changes in concentration of specific antibodies.The evolution of densities of the process is described by a stochastic semigroup. The long-time behaviour of this semigroup is studied. In particular we prove theorems on its asymptotic stability.

An SIS epidemic reaction-diffusion model with saturated incidence rate and spontaneous infection is considered. We establish the existence of endemic equilibrium by using a fixed point theorem. We mainly investigate the effects of diffusion and saturation on asymptotic profiles of the endemic equilibrium. Our analysis shows that the spontaneous infection can enhance persistence of infectious disease.

The newly generalized energy storage component namely memristor is a fundamental circuit element so called universal charge-controlled mem-element is proposed for controlling the analysis and coexisting attractors. The governing differential equations of memristor are highly non-linear for mathematical relationships. The mathematical model of memristor is established in terms of newly defined fractal-fractional differential operators so called Atangana-Baleanu, Caputo-Fabrizio and Caputo fractal-fractional differential operator. A novel numerical approach is developed for the governing differential equations of memristor on the basis of Atangana-Baleanu, Caputo-Fabrizio and Caputo fractal-fractional differential operator. We discussed chaotic behavior of memristor under three criteria as (i) varying fractal order, we fixed fractional order, (ii) varying fractional order, we fixed fractal order and (ii) varying fractal and fractional orders simultaneously. Our investigated graphical illustrations and simulated results via MATLAB for the chaotic behaviors of memristor suggest that newly presented Atangana-Baleanu, Caputo-Fabrizio and Caputo fractal-fractional differential operator has generates significant results as compared with classical approach.
