Abstract

Key Points:  SPI and temperature showed negative correlations with large spatial differences.  The probability of compound dry and hot extremes increased with a stronger dependence between SPI and temperature.  Dryness-temperature feedback had great impact on the likelihood of compound dry and hot extremes.
